Reminder: Women’s March January 19th

Women's March 2019

In two weeks – January 19th, 2019 – there will be another women’s  march in Washington and sister marches across the country.

With Rep. Nancy Pelosi making on her second round as US House Speaker plus the victories by women across the country this is a great time to let our leaders know you support women’s causes. March locations can be found here.

So far Iowa has a march scheduled in Des Moines:

  1. Michael Thompson says:

Will the Womens’ March on 1/19/19 be affected by the shutdown?

    • Dave Bradley says:

I guess the question involves the Park Service which runs the National Mall being on shutdown.
I did find this under FAQs:

They can shut down the government but they can’t shut down the #WomensWave! This is a First Amendment protected activity — shutdown or no shutdown, we are marching.

So it looks like it is on!
