For maybe the second time in my life we purposely turned on Fox News Wednesday. I had just heard on the radio that VP Harris would be interviewed on Fox by Bret Baier in a few minutes. So I went inside, told my wife we should see how this goes. The Vice-President was stepping courageously into the vipers nest. This is something that her opponent is very scared to do to the point that he cancels interviews with only moments before the interview.

So a few moments into his daily show, Baier began his “interview.” From the outset it was very clear that Baier was planning more of a blind-sided attack on Kamala Harris than anything like an interview. I almost turned it off immediately but decided to see if Harris would drop her calm and pleasant demeanor and respond accordingly.

As Baier attacked and attacked with false premises, Harris moved into her prosecutor’s mode. She then proceeded to rip Baier to shreds. Baier was ready and well prepared to do all he could to embarrass what he saw as his opponent. Harris was more than up to the task as she called Baier out on his lies, and stopped his attempt to Gish Gallop over her answers.

The Vice-President almost could not have asked for a better set up to show how she was prepared for the real world of being president when tough decisions and tough actions were needed. The segment ended much earlier than planned as Baier pleaded with his producer to put on a commercial and stop the carnage. It was comical to see Baier begging to get out of the ring.

I tried to find just a straight video of the encounter but the only ones anywhere near that were posted by Fox. Knowing their reputation for propaganda, I chose a video of the Morning Joe Show. While I know MSNBC also has a reputation, they also deal in the real world, whereas Fox definitely does not. 

So here is Mika Brzezinski’s thoughts on Baier’s encounter with a very tough, very smart Vice President. I would like to note that at about the 11:30 mark, Mika introduces the clip where Harris calls out Baier for his misleading, doctored clip of Trump responding to his own (Trump’s) call to turn soldiers on the American people. Baier never recovers from Harris’s response: (15 minutes)

In case that phrase “enemy within” doesn’t send an absolute shiver up your spine, listen closely to Harris’s very on point response. “The enemy within” is me, it is also probably you, and it is anyone that displeases them in some way. It is pure fascist speak. 

Those who are supporting. Trump, be very aware of what you are asking for. A Trump presidency will come back to haunt you. The chaos and destruction that you wish for your enemies will visit you also. Once unleashed it will be nearly impossible to corral.
