At a time when we need more truth and less fiction in our politics, along comes Indigenous People’s Day to take the place of the very mythicized Columbus Day. Columbus was mythicized for “discovering” America. Pretty hard to “discover” something where people had been living for millennia and had thriving cultures.

Rather than discovering” America, as we peel back the myths we find Columbus was a pretty bad colonizing dude. Now after the colonizers pretty well decimated Native Americans we have a day to remember that they were actually here first and they deserve some recognition.

As for last week, we’ll guess who has been accused of more criming putting dictators way above the American people. Think about it – it may be today’s first question.
