If you'd like to thank Howard Dean…
Join over 5,000 others who have joined our campaign to thank the man. We've written an open letter thanking Gov. Dean for all his contributions to our country and our national debate.
Read and sign the letter at: Letter From America – http://www.letterfromamerica.org
Pass the link along. We need all the signatures we can get before our August 1st deadline, at which point we will send the letter and signatures to Gov. Dean.
Thanks.
Jesse

Listen to what Howard has been saying…
No matter who wins the Presidential race this November, our job is to run, and to help people run, and to start at county commissioner and state legislator and city council, and to positions of power in your Democratic committees, and keep doing that, and some of us will move up to Congress, and to the Senate, and we'll win Governorships, and before they realize it, the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party will be the Democratic Party again.
“…maybe not in the first 100 days, or in the first 1000 days…but let us begin.”
He told us, we have the power. We've started to use it. We must continue, and grow.
Virginians — in 2005, we elect a new state legislature. Start planning now to run for that legislature. I am.
Those of you in the other 49, if you are one of the brave people who have taken up the call, you are our heroes and pathfinders. The rest of us, we have work to do.

Hillary was upset watching Dean's reception because she thought her “turn” at POTUS was coming up and now she knows she's got to get back in line behind Howard.

Obama's speech was awesome. Dean with characteristic modesty, “But this was never about me. It was about us. It was about giving new life to our party, new energy to our democracy, and providing hope again for the greatest nation on earth.”

Just heard Barack Obama and all I can say is that you've just seen the first Black President (Big Dog notwithstanding). I don't know when, but I'm sure that Barak's day is coming.

I really miss Howard Dean. I'm still having a hard time volunteering for Kerry. I plan to vote for him and want him to win, but it's hard to volunteer with the people who tried so hard to make us lose here in Iowa…..

You don't have to volunteer for Kerry. The other day, Howard said we can be successful with a bottom-up structure rather than a top-down structure. Blog for Iowa has a growing list of progressive candidates in Iowa. You will be among friends working for one of those candidates. You will work to get out the vote for the candidate you like, and those voters will end up voting for the top of the ticket, too.
