I really enjoy Sunday Funday, and the questions and answers are often entertaining, even as some are infuriating. But just in case, just to be clear, it is not physically possible for potatoes to actually boil in the ground, which is why the original news sources put the word ‘boil’ in quotes. The potatoes are collapsing and going totally bad and mushy because of climate-change hot weather, which for the farmer and consumers is just as bad as boiling. But they aren’t boiling.
