Well when you live in Iowa you’ve got to expect that in the middle of January it will get cold, very cold. But this batch of cold is milder than winters I can remember. (Uh-oh here comes the ‘back when I was a kid’ story) I go back to the days of going out to start your car an letting it run for half an hour so it would start in the morning to get a person to work. 

The coldest I remember was -35. Remember that climate change tends toward warmer temperatures, but extremes may be exceeded – so it is possible that there may be colder days ahead.

Just listening to John Fugelsang. He reminds us that most authoritarians get really rankled when they are ridiculed. We hope to do our best to ridicule the touchy and hopefully temporary occupant of the White House.
