Over the weekend, amidst the ongoing pandemic and the #BLM nationwide protests, a new poll was released showing Democrat Theresa Greenfield ahead of Republican Joni Ernst by two points in the race for U.S. Senate.
This is within the margin for error, and of course things can certainly change between now and November. But it seems to me this poll documents a downward trend for Joni. link link There is no question that this is very. big. news.
If Ernst was ahead by two, that would indicate a tight race, which we already knew. But the fact that Greenfield is actually polling ahead of Ernst is rather astonishing.
