Join Iowa COVID-19 Update With Iowa Policy Project

Join us for ‘An Iowa COVID-19 State of Play Update with Iowa Policy Project’ Monday, April 13th @ 6 PM.

Live on Zoom

Mike Owen and Peter Fisher will dig in on the data and transparency issues surrounding the state’s reporting on Covid-19 testing and the metrics Gov. Reynold is using before she will issue a shelter-in-place order.

Then we’ll do a deep dive on the unemployment numbers – with an analysis of whether our state can handle it – all from Colin Gordon.

And we’ll take a little time to talk with each other about what we can do in this time to care for each other, fight for each other, and expand what is winnable for people and planet. RSVP here.

  • Amid the COVID-19 crisis, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) not only continues to rubber stamp factory farm applications with limited public input, but now has rolled back nearly all environmental protections from the factory farm industry. We are demanding Governor Reynolds sign an executive order for an immediate moratorium on factory farms. Click here to add your name to our citizen letter.
