It sounded like there were a few noisy gun fanatics in the room but there was a lot of push back, too. I’d say the push back crowd definitely dominated the conversation.  The gun lovers didn’t have much to say to argue their side (since their side is indefensible). But they did some shouting and cheering when Joni stuck to the Fox News and NRA talking points.

As I listened to this video, and like every other time I have seen her speak, Ernst’s smooth, robotic, at times patronizing tone never changes, no matter what she’s saying or what she’s responding to. If someone interrupts she just talks faster. She is not even listening to the room. She is going to say what she had already planned to say, regardless of what is put in front of her.  And by the way, since when has Ernst concerned herself with due process? That is laughable.

Ernst has said that there is nothing she can do about gun violence.  So we should be looking at sending her packing and electing someone who is at least willing to try.
