Candidate Responds To Obama’s Endorsement

From house district 91 candidate Laura Liegois

Thanks, Obama!

No, but really. THANKS, OBAMA!

I just got off the phone with my team and they told me the exciting news: President Barack Obama endorsed our campaign for Iowa House!

It’s not too often that former presidents get involved with state legislative races — so this is a monumental moment for us. To celebrate this incredible day, we’re setting a goal of getting 44 contributions from supporters like you (in honor of our 44th president!) before midnight. Can you make a donation right away?

We all feel a special connection to President Obama, especially here in Iowa. But I admire him for his outstanding work he did before we was ever elected to any political office. Barack Obama was a community organizer — putting in long, tough hours to make change in his backyard. I carry that same spirit with me in the volunteer work I do. And it’s why I have dedicated every moment of free time I have to volunteering in my community.

President Obama’s endorsement today means so much to me. But the icing on the cake would be meeting our goal of 44 grassroots contributions to help celebrate the endorsement from our 44th president.

I’m counting on your support to help us reach this goal — click here to make a contribution before midnight!

Thanks for everything,
