email from Abby Finkenauer:
What does a dentist, school nurse, and homeless shelter have in common? None of them provide women’s healthcare.
It’s no joke — that’s where Republican State Senator Brad Zaun thinks Iowa women can turn to for reproductive healthcare after they’ve defunded Planned Parenthood.
Iowa House Democrats won’t back down from our obligation to ensure every Iowan has access to safe, affordable healthcare. We know that thousands of Iowa women depend on Planned Parenthood for lifesaving care.
With Republican control of the legislative process, it has never been more important for us to stand together to protect the healthcare services Iowa women depend on. Are you with us? Chip in $5 or more right now.
Help us send Iowa Republicans a clear message — Hands off Planned Parenthood!

Editor’s note: We are monthly contributors to Planned Parenthood. If there are any women in your life – a mother, aunt, sister, daughter or granddaughter – keeping Planned Parenthood operational should be a priority.
If you are a person who wants to see abortion numbers decrease and decrease dramatically then keeping a health care organization open and operating should be a priority. Planned Parenthood makes contraception available and affordable. Many women in Iowa depend on the health care workers at Planned Parenthood to prescribe the correct medicine and make it available.
That would be a rational view of the work of Planned parenthood.
