When you look at the stands that the Republican Party takes these days one has to wonder: Why do they hate America? Why do they want to hurt Americans?
– Stopping Jobs Legislation
– Stopping emergency Unemployment Insurance
– Stopping immigration.
– Refusing to provide money for infrastructure repair
– denying climate change (even as Marco Rubio’s Miami slowly fills with sea water)
– denying a vote on minimum wage raise
– high rates on college loans that can never be discharged
– Opposing any relief from health care insurance companies
– wasting our time and money with endless votes on the ACA
– wasting our time and money on non scandals Benghazi, the IRS and Fast and Furious
– Refusing to discuss anything rlelvant to middle Americans
– refusing to discuss any gun legislation.
– Stopping any aid for families
– stopping women’s reproductive health.

If your are a Republican-Tea Party voter may I ask you why? They do not want to govern. Their only missions are to give our national treasury to their wealthy buddies, bust unions and make sure that every one lives in fear. If you don’t have a billion you have no reason to vote republican.Why any woman would ever vote for a Republican is beyond me. Republican disdain for women is quite open and public.

School Shootings Since Newtown
I ran across this chart online Thursday. There have been 71 school shootings across the country since Newtown. After everyone the NRA comes out with crazier claims and the gun crazies buy more guns. It is absolutely scary that our schools are now damned near armed encampments. We must be better than that.

Anyone Seen Rush?
Seems like since his infamous tangle with that weak little woman, Sandra Fluke, Mr. Limbaugh has taken a proverbial ass kicking. His show now is barely heard in Los Angeles and San Francisco, has been moved from his perch in New York and has seen ratings crash around the country. Sponsors left in droves after Fluke punched his lights out. The company that syndicates his show is a subsidiary of Clear Channel. Clear Channel has been owned by Baine Capital for a couple of years and is in danger of going bankrupt. Well, I must say it could not have happened to a more deserving individual or country.

Speaking Of Radio
Even though right wing radio is going down in flames across the country, the owners of most of the country’s stations have been cutting liberal radio from their stations and putting more right wing radio on. I know Iowa has been devoid of liberal radio for quite awhile. NPR just doesn’t cut it for me anymore. They seem to be scared of their own shadow over there and have been for quite a while.
