Mike Huckabee is running for president again, make no doubt about that. The Tea Party nomination seems to come down to Republican governors not yet indicted versus the Rand Paul / Ted Cruz craziness contest winner. Huckabee made an attempt to get a foot in both camps Thursday with his comment about Democratic women waiting for Uncle Sugar to get them birth control pills because they can’t control their libido. This comment passed the tea party smell test of being both non-understandable and downright mean. He may be moving up in the polls fast.
Huckabee’s appearances in Iowa should be greeted with sugar packets and sugar strewn on the floor. This will be the insider’s way of signifying that they know what “Uncle Mike” meant and they are on his side. No fake sugars please – because, you know, Mike is real!
