The University of Iowa Public Policy Center will present a free screening of “Inequality for All”, a 2013 documentary that examines the widening income inequality in the United States, presented by Robert Reich – an American economist, author and professor at Harvard and Berkeley, and U.S. Secretary of Labor under Bill Clinton.

The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival and won a U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Achievement in Filmmaking.

Reich narrates the story of the widening income gap and examines what effects this growing inequality has not only on the U.S. economy, but American democracy itself. At the heart of the film is a simple proposition: What is a good society and what role does the widening income gap play in the deterioration of the nation’s economic health?

The screening will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 7:00 p.m. at MacBride Hall Auditorium, and will be followed by a Skype chat / Q&A with Mr. Reich.

There is no cost to attend, but donations of non-perishable food, paper products or baby items are requested for The Crisis Center of Johnson County.
