Summer had to throw one more wallop Wednesday and Thursday before she left. Bye-bye and don’t hurry back. Now it is time for cool evenings, maybe a fire in the fireplace, a heaping bowl of chili or a bowl of tomato soup with a toasted cheese sandwich. Oh, and a cat looking for some heat curled in a lap. It is also time to dig out those flannel sheets and maybe a good murder mystery – or as my wife calls them, textbooks. I don’t know what she means, though.
