Iowa SOS Cites Two People Trying To Vote As “Voter Fraud”

AlecSOS Matt Schultz  appears to be taking his voter-suppressing marching orders straight from the corporate bill mill ALEC.

We couldn’t help but laugh out loud when Schulz used his Twitter feed in a transparent, lame attempt to pass off  two Iowa residents who voted when they weren’t eligible to, as examples of widespread  “Voter Fraud”  in America!

One was a school board president in Vinton who wasn’t eligible to vote or run for public office because of a previous felony conviction.  He voted and ran for election as a school board candidate, and voted in a city election and school elections.

The other example Schultz cited was a Morningside College student from Germany whose visa was terminated by the college due to his “not maintaining status.”   The charge that the student had tried to represent himself as a U.S. citizen was dropped.

Two individuals trying to vote.  They were not trying to impersonate anyone.  So what does Voter ID have to do with it?

Nothing, obviously.

Everyone knows if there’s any “Voter Fraud” going on,  the GOP are probably the ones doing it.  Because they are ALEC/NRA/Koch Brothers lackeys who have nothing to offer as a party, they have to cheat to win and suppressing the vote is a part of that strategy, it’s that simple.
