Recall Scott Walker Campaign Begins Tonight At Midnight

People in Wisconsin are gathering at midnight to start the process.

According to John Nichols who was on the Ed Schulz radio show today (not available over the publicly owned airwaves in Iowa):

  • Tonight at midnight there will be pajama parties, neighborhood rallies, and various high energy activities to kick off the recall campaign.
  • 20 offices will open around the state
  • 20,000 individuals have already been trained to pass petitions.
  • 200,000 have pledged to sign the recall petition

The recall effort believes it will need 700,000 signatures to get it on the ballot and overcome any legal challenges. There is talk of going for one million signatures.

The pro-Walker-ites  are spending big $$$ on ads already.  Scott Tate, Chair, Wisconsin Dems: 50-100 million dollars to be spent on Scott Walker’s behalf.  Dirty corporate money – the Koch Bros., oil tycoons, “trying to keep their poster boy Scott Walker in office.”   There has been discovery of some individuals on FB who have been bragging about collecting and destroying petition signatures which would be a crime.

The recall kickstarts a whole new election process including the possibility of primaries.

“People want their Wisconsin back.”

On Wisconsin!
