Iowa's Dave Loebsack Co-Sponsors Afghanistan Transition Bill
Washington, D.C. May 5, 2011 – Iowa's Second District Congressman Dave Loebsack was an original co-sponsor of HR 1735, a bill to require the President to transmit to Congress a plan with time frameand completion date and reports with status updates on the transition of
United States military and security operations in Afghanistan to the
Government of Afghanistan.
The bill was introduced today by James McGovern (D-MA) and co-sponsored by 15 other House representatives.
Loebsack was the only member of the Iowa delegation to be listed as a co-sponsor.
