This Lent, the Sisters of St. Francis and all the congregations of women religious based in the Upper Mississippi Valley are advocating a “plastic bag fast” to show respect for the Creator by stewardship of creation.  If indeed we are from the earth and kin to all God’s creation, our journey to new ways of being and doing must be toward a more sustainable world.
