First off, a note about Voting Challenges. Sean Flaherty at IVI writes this:

Dear Iowa Voter,

There has been an update to the national system for reporting problems on election day. Here are the numbers to call, if you encounter any problems voting or as an election worker:

888-SAV-VOTE for voting machine problems

866-OUR-VOTE for general election questions (inappropriate challenges to    voter eligiblity and other issues)

866-VEY-VOTA for Spanish

These numbers will be staffed by live people knowledgeable in their fields.

Please also email us iavotingintegrity@yahoo.com. It is very important that you call the  the numbers above so that your information will be put into a national tracking database.

Second – events.

Polk County Drinking Liberally (contact Amanda Mittlestadt at 515-249-4927; amanda@drinkingliberally.org) will meet at the Rock Bottom Brewery, 4508 University Avenue in West Des Moines, at 8 p.m. on Election Night.

In Johnson County, go to the Hotel Vitro at 9:00 to check out the returns. This party is sponsored by Loebsack for Congress.
