 Either Mike Whalen realizes that he is out of touch with people in Eastern Iowa or he feels that if he clearly describes his positions people will see that they line up perfectly with those of George Bush. Any way you picture it, Mike Whalen doesn’t want to trumpet the fact that he will be a rubber stamp for George W. Bush in the next two years.
