Help Zach Wahls Help Rita Hart

A note from State Senator Zach Wahls –

As the first Iowa legislator to grow up with openly LGBT parents, I learned at an early age how important it is to stand up for what you believe in. And that’s exactly why I’m writing to ask if you can chip in $10 to Rita Hart’s campaign for Congress.

Although Rita and I have very different personal stories and backgrounds, we’ve both spent our lives serving our communities and advocating for change. And we both believe that every Iowan deserves a fair shot in life, no matter who you are or whom you love.

That’s why I endorsed her when she announced she was running, and it’s why I’m so proud to be supporting Rita Hart to represent us in Congress. She has committed to supporting the Equality Act, which is more important than ever given the Trump Administration’s attacks on healthcare for LGBTQ Americans.

This Pride Month will you join me in supporting Rita’s campaign by making a $10 donation today? Her campaign has a big fundraising deadline coming up, and she needs our help to defeat her extreme Republican opponents.

If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

We all know just how much is at stake in this election. Control of the House, the Senate, and the Presidency are all on the line—and they all run straight through Iowa. Your donation to Rita’s campaign will help make sure Republicans don’t take control of Washington. If Republicans win, they’ll continue to rollback progress for LGBTQ+ Americans on both equal protection and all the other issues that matter to all of us, like healthcare, education, and workers’ rights.

We must win IA-02 and elect another pro-equality leader like Rita Hart to Congress. She has our back, and that’s why we need to have Rita’s back during this urgent fundraising period.

Will you donate $10 to help Rita win her campaign for Congress?

Thank you, and Happy Pride!

Iowa State Senator
