On March 30, at 10:30 am, at the Storm Lake High School gym, Family Farm Action will be hosting the Farmer’s Bill of Rights rally (see info here).

The rally will take place before the first major multi-candidate 2020 Democratic Presidential event, the Heartland Forum. Farmers and rural enthusiasts from all over the nation will be coming together and Farm Aid plans to have Country legend Willie Nelson record a video for the rally. I will be a featured speaker and my Working Hero Action video highlighting the abuse of the Renewable Fuel Standard will be shown as well.

This morning, I announced that I’ll be taking Sioux City Sue, the RV I campaigned in, to the rally. If there are any farmers between Sioux City and Storm Lake that want a ride, please contact Working Hero or email me at jd@workingheroaction.org.

As many of you know, I talked a lot about market consolidation in the Ag economy squeezing our farmers. More and more people/campaigns are starting to talk about the importance of this issue. So much so that Ryan Grim, of The Intercept, tweeted this:

Family Farm Action has been a leader in fighting for farmers in a time when Wall St. is dictating our Farm Policy. If you’re able, please contribute to their cause: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/farmaction

Family Farm Action will be donating $.25 of every dollar raised at the rally to FarmAid’s disaster relief fund to support farmers and ranchers affected by the recent flooding.

Thank you.

Standing Tall for All,

J.D. Scholten
