Advocacy Item for the Week

Please call Senator Ernst (202-224-3254) and Senator Grassley (202-224-3744) to urge them to stop the partisan attack on health care, to work with Democrats to improve health care, and to support the disaster relief, recovery, and prevention of future damage that is so urgently needed for so many people affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, and the drought and western wildfires.

And one last reminder from Senator Hogg:  Don’t forget, campaigns cost money.

Fundraising is an essential part of the comeback Democrats need in the 2018 elections. It costs money to run campaign operations and, most importantly, to communicate with busy and independent voters, especially for state legislative races that do not get as much media coverage as other races.

Please take a moment and figure out what you can afford to contribute over the next 13 months to finance Democratic campaigns for the state legislature, both House and Senate, as well as Congressional and gubernatorial campaigns. Your financial support is critical to allow Democrats to compete statewide and give Iowa voters a choice in the 2018 elections.
