Des Moines and Iowa City –  Jon Bon Jovi will perform in Iowa City Friday for one of Obama for America’s Early Vote campaign events.   Bon Jovi will head to Hubbard Park for a special acoustic performance. The event is free, and tickets are available starting Wednesday through Obama for America offices in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines.  Bon Jovi is also set to play in Des Moines at the Western Gateway Park the same day.

Door Knocking for Sara Sedlacek and Dick Schwab

Time to put on your walking shoes Johnson County… Here are two great House candidates who need our help.  Together we can get them elected.  It is a privilege to live in Johnson County, where our hometown Legislators are caring dedicated progressive people, working everyday for issues and people about which we care deeply.  We have the unique opportunity to add Dick Schwab and Sara Sedlacek.

SCHWAB UPDATE : Not only are the Johnson County Democrats door knocking in Mechanicsville and Stanwood, the Muscatine County Dems are door knocking in Wilton, Cedar County Dems in Tipton, and a contingent of Solon volunteers in West Branch. If you live in one of these communities and would like to help, send me an e-mail for details. We figured it is a Hawkeye bye, so what better Saturday to get out and meet voters. We start everywhere at 10 a.m.
