Earlier, in a conversation where he defends his position that dog fighting should be legal, Steve King oddly brings up an example of a 13 year old girl getting raped, being kidnapped, driven across state lines and forced to get an abortion to hide the evidence of the rape, to help him make his point that animals should not be valued more than people.  Seriously.  You can’t make this stuff up, just view the video. The whole thing is fascinating like a traffic accident.

Fast forward to yesterday, defending GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin’s  juvenile statement that rape victims can’t get pregnant, Steve King says he’s never heard of anyone getting pregnant as a result of rape or incest.  “Well I just haven’t heard of that being a circumstance that’s been brought to me in any personal way, and I’d be open to discussion about that subject matter,” he said.
