Walk out! Go to central campus and make your way from the Campanile down to Lincoln Way! Line the sidewalks so we are visible! Chant! Sing! Bring Signs!

We are exiting our classes and work on the ISU campus at 12 pm and moving toward Lincoln Way. The more people that gather at once, the BETTER! We will know who you are if you have a sign, so please hang it up high and proud. We will start marching towards LINCOLN WAY. We will not be assembling on ISU grounds, rather moving from campus to the community.  Please join us if you are in Ames! A new Occupy Ames page has also begun!

Van Jones at Occuy Wall Street has 5 concrete demands now:
1) Pass H. R. 1489 return to Glass Steagall Act of 1933. We must not let Wall Street banking firms gamble with the depositors’ money
2) Reverse Citizens United v FEC Supreme Court decision
3) Use congressional authority & oversight to ensure appropriate federal agencies investigate & prosecute the Wall Street criminals
4) Pass the Buffett Rule on Fair Taxation & close corporate tax loop holes
5) Revamp the SEC Commission & staff. Lets hope they keep those 5 .
