Dear Friends,

If you like variety you'll like this week's line-up. Today, I hope to see
you at the Rally For Workers' Rights at 5:00 at the State Capitol.
We'll broadcast live during the public hearing on a bill to erode public
employees' right to collectively bargain. Robert Reich (former Labor
Secretary under President Clinton) joins us. We'll also talk with Carol
Williams
, a former Iowan living in Wisconsin, who's been an eye witness to
the historic happenings in Madison these past three weeks.

Tuesday, we'll talk with Ryan Rhodes, one of Iowa's Tea Party
leaders. Yes, unlike Fox News, the Fallon Forum truly is committed to giving
opposing viewpoints a chance to be heard.

Wednesday, we'll discuss a bill forcing YOU & ME to pick-up the tab for
MidAmerican Energy's new nuclear power plant. Sounds like a great deal — for
the utility monopoly. Joining us for that conversation are two national
experts: Mark Cooper and Arjun Makhijani with the Institute for
Energy and the Environment.

Thursday, Francis Thicke (dairy farmer, soil scientist and former
candidate for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture) discusses a bill to allow people
to buy raw milk directly from farmers. Also joining us is Hannah Drollinger, a talented young violinist and
fiddler on the front line of efforts to allow street musicians to perform in
Iowa City. Finally, we'll talk with Bill Bullard about the proposed
US-South Korea Free Trade Agreement, and why that could be a bad deal for Iowa
farmers.

Also, with passenger rail being such an important issue here in Iowa, I want
to make a plug for Iowa PIRG's video in support of high-speed rail. Check out
the preview here.

A plug, too, for our non-profit sponsors:

Physicians for Social Responsibility, Iowa Chapter
Sierra Club, Iowa Chapter

This week's Fallon Forum Freebie is an oil change at Sargent's
Garage, located at 510 College Ave in Des Moines. Four generations of
Fallon-mobiles have patronized Sargent's Garage, so this endorsement comes with
a long history of quality service.

And for more progressive talk radio, check out The Bradshaw Show from 1:00-4:00 Monday-Friday.

Thanks!

Ed Fallon
