Monday, March 7, 2011

6:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.

Iowa House of Representatives Chamber

Persons wishing to speak may sign up at the Legislative Information Office (LIO), Room G16, located in the Iowa State Capitol, or call the LIO at 515-281-5129. If unable to attend, you may e-mail written testimony to the LIO: lioinfo@legis.state.ia.us

[Editor's note:  In an AP story today, Branstad denied that it was his intention to end collective bargaining, but admitted he does have other plans for workers: Branstad said he'll “push state worker unions to make big changes to a contract that was bargained with his predecessor, Democratic Governor Chet Culver,” that he wants “reductions in pay and benefits,” and supports taking away the union's right to negotiate over insurance benefits.]
