I have exciting news!  This week, the Iowa State Senate may take up House Concurrent Resolution 7, the resolution to support our effort to create the Veterans National Recovery Center at the now-closed Knoxville Iowa Veterans Hospital.This is a national center to support the homeless and PTSD distressed among veterans.

Nothing like this exists today anywhere in the nation.

We need this resolution (which has already passed the House) to put in our submission packet to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The resolution, which does not have an appropriation, is to prove that Iowa likes this project and wants to do help the national veterans community.

Please tell them that you have heard about the VNRC, you think that it is a great idea, and you understand that there will be a no-cost resolution of support offered soon.
