Blog for Iowa Canvassing Day Part 2

Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN), the ranking member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, spoke with longtime Washington Post foreign affairs correspondent, columnist and editor Jim Hoagland about a variety of foreign affairs issues including the START Treaty. This discussion took place at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.

In this hour long interview, Senator Lugar is candid about members of the United States Senate and their attitudes toward President Obama, Afghanistan, bipartisanship, committee membership, foreign relations and the nature of today's United States Senators, especially junior members.
