conversation, and if you miss the show, you can hear it as a podcast

Dear Friends,

Given the vitriol and disinformation from right-wing shock jocks, we're pleased to see our brand of civil, progressive talk radio continue to grow. But we can't do it without you, so please take 2-3 minutes to use the Pay Pal feature on our website and make a contribution.

Monday on The Fallon Forum, we talk about the governor's race: Branstad's  pandering on racial profiling; the ongoing scrutiny over Culver's campaign donations from gambling interests; the flood of negative ads featuring half-truths from both campaigns. We're struggling to find positive news to share regarding the race, so please call-in to the show tonight if you can help us out.

Tuesday, we talk with Jason Walsmith and Becca Smith of The Nadas, one of central Iowa's great bands that have garnered a national following. There are several directions our conversation might take, including Jason's new composition about Charlie Wittmack's epic triathlon from London to the summit of Mt. Everest.

Wednesday, we talk with Eric Cooper, Libertarian candidate for governor. Eric's website is intriguing, especially the question he poses about marriage equality: “Are Homosexuals like the Pilgrims?”

How many of you remember the 1980s farm activist group, Prairiefire? The former head of that group, David Ostendorf, joins us on Thursday to talk about immigration reform. His colleague at the Center for New Community, Carlos Rich, also will be in the studio with us.

Ed and Lynn Fallon
