That's more or less an aside, but the Bachman endorsement underlines the need for us to get serious about addressing the Steve King problem in our state.

Today is the last day of the fund-raising quarter for the candidates, and we hope you will consider helping out Matt Campbell, the Democrat who is working hard to unseat King. While Campbell has way less money than King, he has a pretty good chunk of change for a challenger, and we can help give his campaign a boost by contributing today. 

Let's help the 5th District Dems take back Iowa's left coast by giving a little financial support to Matt Campbell today.

Don't forget about the other Democratic candidates in the other races, but if eastern Iowans can throw in an extra contribution to the Campbell campaign for the purpose of eroding King's stranglehold on the entire left coast of Iowa, it could make a difference.

Campbell is running a smart campaign. We received robo calls last night from the campaign asking for a contribution. I don't recall being contacted in the past by a 5th district candidate (except King who was calling to promote one of his right-wing causes).
