President Obama Will Address Nation Live On Tuesday About Oil Spill

President Obama will speak to the nation live from the oval office on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., Central, regarding the BP oil spill crisis. The national address will follow the President’s tour of Gulf states affected by the oil spill on Monday and Tuesday. On his fourth visit to the Gulf region since the disaster began on April 20, Obama will make stops in Theodore, Alabama; Gulfport, Mississippi, and Pensacola, Florida, according to senior administration officials.
Following the Gulf states tour and national address, President Obama will meet with BP officials on Wednesday, Jun 16, 2010 to discuss current and future oil spill containment and clean-up methods. He will also address issues with BP claims experienced by those hardest hit by the disaster in Gulf coast states.
