For people of faith who want to care for God’s creation and address climate change. Participants receive the training and tools they need to make a difference in their homes, congregations and communities. Cost is $20. May 17-21 – Bike To Work Week (Iowa)
This event continues to grow each year. In 2009, 716 employers, 114 cities, and 2,395 commuters (22% first-timers) participated. Volunteers will do light labor in service to neighborhoods still suffering from the 2008 floods, All skill levels welcome. Carpool to Cedar Rapids, leaving at 7:00 am from Plymouth United Church of Christ, 4126 Ingersoll Ave, Des Moines. Arrive back in Des Moines by 6:00 pm.
