Organizing for America/Iowa – New Headquarters Open House
Organizing for America (OFA) will be hosting an open house at our new Iowa Headquarters before the Jefferson Jackson Dinner on Saturday, November 21st. Please join OFA staff, supporters, and volunteers for light refreshments and an opportunity to discuss what OFA will be organizing around for the rest of the year. This is a great opportunity for activists, volunteers, party members, and elected officials to get together and discuss OFA’s effort moving forward before a great event featuring Vice-President Biden.
The open house will be from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and our office is located at 621 E. 2nd St in Des Moines (River Hills Office Park). Those attending the JJ Dinner can stop by before they head to Hy-Vee Hall, which is right across the river.
4th District Office Visits
Congressman Latham, despite being in a district that overwhelmingly supported Barack Obama and the changes he discussed in the campaign last November, voted “no” on reforming health care. OFA has designed a program that will allow constituents of Congressman Latham to show that they voted for change last November and he should listen to them and support health reform- click here
There is an organizational meeting in Davenport on Wednesday: Click here
