Speak up! New, Improved, Comment System for Blog for Iowa!

Commenting on BFIA is now faster and easier than ever!

Blog for Iowa now allows ANONYMOUS comments – because it's faster and easier.

Just click comment at the bottom of the post, enter the comment verification text that you see in the box; then all you have to enter is your comment.  You can skip the boxes that ask for login and password information. No identifying information will appear on the blog page.

If you have a BFIA account, you may still log in under that account to post your comment (this is still our preferred method – see How to Post a Comment on Blog for Iowa on the right sidebar.

And if you'd like to post quickly without hassling with creating an account or logging in, but you still want your name attached to your comment, simply do an anonymous post and then add a user name or real name in the text of your comment.

BFIA still prefers commenters identify themselves, because we feel this helps build the community, but it is not required.  BFIA believes it is irresponsible to allow unmoderated, anonymous comments because this tends to invite hate speech and creates a general lack of civility, so all comments will be reviewed.

Special note to right-wing commenters:   Don't bother with the talking points.  The media already over-represent those, so we simply won't give them more unearned air time.  But if you have a thoughtful, true, conservative opinion that you can express in a civil manner, that contributes to the dialogue in a positive way, we'll be glad to post it.

Blog for Iowa looks forward to hearing from you!
