I have attended two DFA trainings and one Camp Wellstone. They are very comparable in quality and content. You can choose among different sessions depending on your interests. It's a great experience you can repeat and learn something new every time. It is not just about campaigning, it is about grassroots activism. One seasoned activist who attended a DFA training come up afterwards and said, “this information is so important…everyone should have access to this. I didn't know half of this stuff.” So check it out; it's only sixty bucks for two packed days and if you can't spare it, you can sign up for a scholarship. Trish Nelson

Here's the DFA spiel….
You have the power, now learn the skills! The DFA Campaign Academy is coming to Des Moines this February 28th & March 1st for two days of exciting campaign training.
With Bush and the Republicans out of power, we have a once in a generation opportunity to enact the progressive ideas we've been fighting for all these years.
In 2009 let's bring the change we need to our local and state offices and make sure that all our elected leaders, Republicans and Democrats, know that we will hold them accountable for their votes.
So whether you are organizing to pressure your elected officials on progressive issues or planning a campaign to unseat them, the DFA Campaign Academy has something for you.
Join us for two days of energizing training as organizers with decades of experience help you create a step-by-step plan for victory.
Attendees will also get to hear directly from some of the most exciting candidates and elected officials in their area and take home a copy of our 180-page campaign training manual.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the weekend and a social event will be organized Saturday evening so you can network with other activists in your area and make plans for the future.
Tuition is only $60 for the weekend, and limited discounted rates and scholarships are available.
