Lobbying for Animals Seminar Nov. 12 in Sioux City

Siouxland Humane Society

Lobbying 101

The Humane Society of the United States is hosting a free Lobbying for Animals seminar on Wednesday, November 12th, from 6:30pm to 8 pm, where participants will learn how to make a tremendous difference for animals in Iowa.

The Iowa state legislature is not currently in session, but lots of great lobbying can happen at this time that will impact animal welfare. We want you to know the most effective ways to get involved and communicate your message.

We will show you basic lobbying techniques for citizen activists and provide information regarding some of the issues being considered. We will also look to the next session which begins in January, 2009, and update you on proposed legislation for animals. Please take time to attend this meeting to support the ongoing efforts to protect the animals of Iowa.

This event is free of charge, but an R.S.V.P. is requested to attend. Please RSVP to (712) 252-2614, ext. 16. Hope to see you there!
