Sam Garchik Leaves Blog for Iowa

Dear Readers:

Two and a half years ago, I took over from Linda Thieman as Editor of Blog for Iowa. Since then, Democrats have taken over the House of Representatives, Howard Dean has become chair of the Democratic Party, and one of the first Dean’s Dozen-endorsed candidates has become the Party’s nominee for President. Things have never looked better. Last month, I returned to school to become a teacher-librarian. There are simply not enough hours in the day for me to provide the consistent stewardship that you deserve. Consequently, I am stepping down, and Linda is temporarily resuming her duties as editor. I wish her, and all of you, the best of luck. If you wish to continue to contact me, please email me at blog2 at democracyforiowa dot com.

Thank you for all of your hard work on behalf of the people of this great state and nation.

Sam Garchik
Former Editor, Blog for Iowa

Thank you, Sam. Blog for Iowa and Democracy for Iowa will miss you. We appreciate all the time and effort you have donated to keeping the Iowa progressive community informed and up to date. A job well done.
