Dear Friends,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />
There are 69 days until November 7. That may sound like a long time, but in politics….it’s crunch time. The month of September is nearly full of events that my staff and I will be attending to support some of our progressive candidates, and I know October will be busy as well.
You may have already received phone calls, direct mail pieces or a knock at the door from state or local candidates asking for support and money. And you know the media blitz on television, radio and newspapers has begun in earnest and will only get more intense.
But there truly are plenty of great candidates to support. I know we have only so much time in any given day to volunteer. But our efforts to elect genuine progressives will have a significant and lasting impact on <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />Iowa and I’m asking you to do as much as you can to help.
The remaining portion of this update will fill you in on upcoming events and the needs of candidates we are encouraging you to support and work for over the next 2 months. I will be speaking and playing music at most, if not all, of them. Please consider what you can do – and then do it!!! Thanks.
Ed
