DFA Selects Dave Loebsack and Bruce Braley for Online Voting Contest!

The Democracy for America (DFA) Political Action Committee has chosen Dave Loebsack and Bruce Braley to participate in an online voting event that will decide the next DFA national endorsement.

The DFA chose 35 congressional candidates to participate in their 2006 Grassroots All-Star vote. Five semi-finalists will receive a $2,000 contribution from DFA's PAC. The winner will receive an endorsement from DFA and an email appeal from DFA's Chair Jim Dean to all 500,000 DFA members asking to support the candidate.

The DFA has helped raised over $250,000 for congressional candidates so far this year. Inspired by the presidential campaign of Howard Dean, DFA is dedicated to supporting fiscally responsible, socially progressive candidates at all levels of government.

The first round of voting will begin Wednesday, June 7th and continue through Friday, June 16th. Supporters can visit http://www.democracyforamerica.com/housevote to vote for the candidate of their choice.
