Quad-Citians Affirming Diversity or QCAD (www.qcaffirmingdiversity.org) is a non-profit organization based in Rock Island, IL, that serves the Iowa/Illinois Quad-Cities area.

QCAD aims to bring gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and straight
people together to learn from each other and to create an affirming
community.

QCAD was founded in 1991 and its
library has the largest collection of GLBTQ-related books, videos,
magazines, and other materials with over 1,000 titles, according to the
January 2006 count.

QCAD works with local schools on improving the atmosphere for GLBTQ
students and making the school climate more accepting of diverse sexual
orientations. QCAD also regularly offers community services for youth,
adults, seniors and many other groups.
