Katrina Relief Information
“There's nothing wrong with America that can't be fixed by what's right with America.” – Bill Clinton.
If
you're like me, you've somewhat quit paying attention to the political
news and notes lately to pay attention to the news coming from New
Orleans and the Gulf Coast.
I'll
leave the comments here for people to post their own links and
resources for aid efforts, but I wanted to publicize this link:
The American Red Cross (1 800 HELP NOW)
Right
now, the Red Cross seems to be the best way to provide immediate
assistance. Other charities are setting up relief and long-term
assistance programs – they will be worth donating a few dollars to as
well.
If you know of worthwhile charities providing assistance, please post them below.
MoveOn.org set this one up:

To us the disaster that is Katrina is almost surreal. But, I am sure to the victims it is devastating beyond words. Make sure you check out the DFA.com site to see what is going on in the blog world to help out the victims of Katrina.
Not only is there internet posting/blogging assistance, but there are also “agencies” listed to be on the lookout for that are not legit in raising funds to help out.
