Well, So Much For The Big Fight: Kerry Concedes

    Kerry condeded before Iowa announced its official returns.
    This means that all of it was wasted. All of it. Everything we have done, everything we contributed, everything on this website and all that people contributed to it, all of the passion and effort and mental energy. After all the hype about how important Iowa would be, it all turned out to be bogus. Iowa didn't matter at all. If we weren't even in the United States, it wouldn't have changed anything for either candidate.

    Well, I share your deep disappointment, but I hardly think all of our efforts were wasted. We witnessed, and participated in, and made happen the birth of a movement.

    For nothing? Democrats have half of our Senate, considering the way this state broke in the end that IS an amazing feat. I survived the McGovern slaughter in 1972 and a war. We will ALL survive this. As Linda points out 2 years ago the network of people did not exist, yet here it is. For nothing? Vietnam was for nothing. This is for our country.
