National Women's Election Action Day: September 18
Fifty Million Women Count!
Did you know that in the 2000 presidential election, 50 million American women DID NOT VOTE?
Democracy
for America is joining with a large number of progressive organizations
in battleground states this weekend to reach out to these women.
Volunteers
will participate in voter contact activities such as phone banking,
door-to-door canvassing, campus organizing, activist trainings, and
registering voters.
