you're one of those people who believes that the United States actually
has a one-party system – the Corporate Party – and that the Republicans
and Democrats are merely separate factions of the Corporate Party, then
perhaps you won't be shocked that I am linking to an article on the
World Socialist Web Site.  I've linked to more shocking places

Historically,
the Democratic Party has cast itself as the “party of the people.” It
claimed to stand up for the “common man” against those whom Franklin D.

with the modern-day princes of great wealth.

The
Kerry campaign Wednesday released the names of 200 billionaire and
multi-millionaire financiers and corporate executives who have endorsed
his run for the presidency, touting their support for his campaign as
proof that he is a “responsible” candidate who will protect the
interests of American capitalism.
