The discussion will be held from 3-5pm at the Unitarian Church in
Davenport, 3707 Eastern Ave. The guest speaker will be Dr. Laura
Hechtel, a biology instructor from Rivermont Collegiate in Bettendorf.
This will hopefully open a much needed discussion about this world-wide
problem and how each one of us contributes to it. The discussion is
sponsored by DFIA Environmentalist Molly Regan's environmental group,
IECAN (Independent Environmental Conservation & Activism Network),
QC Action and Democracy for Iowa (that's us!).  Please contact

What a great idear!  They are doing three shifts, 2-4, 4-6, and
6-8. PLEASE NOTE: the location will be at Gregg Davison's house in
Marshalltown.  Email Linda for the street address.

 

Saturday, June 12th:  Marshalltown Balloon Rally Parade. 

Meet at Miller Middle School at 9:00-9:30am. (The parade starts at
10:00.)  The Sawtelle volunteers will be marching as part of the
Marshall County Democrats unit. Wear your Sawtelle T-shirts if you have
them, or order one that day.
