John Drury, District 6
Yesterday was a great day on the campaign trail, as Governor Tom
Vilsack joined John Drury in Garner, Forest City and Mason City to meet
with and listen to the concerns of North Iowans. In John's
introductory remarks he commented on the three key issues he sees in
this election: Education, Economy and Environment.
Governor Vilsack in his comments elaborated on each of these issues
discussing in detail areas where the Republican-controlled legislature
failed. Vilsack pointed out that the three issues of John's
campaign all begin with the letter “E” and made note of the fourth “E” that is important in the campaign…an Energetic campaigner and leader for North Iowa.
Many of
Gov. Vilsack's remarks pointed out the failure of the legislature to do
common sense things that most Iowans truly want, such as fully funding
education, passing reasonable air and water quality legislation and
protection for school children from school violence.
The fifth “E” of the day had to have been the Enthusiastic Endorsement by the Governor of John Drury's effort to become the new Iowa District 6 Senator.
With all those “E's” flying around you know it was an Excellent day on the campaign trail.
