IOWA DEMOCRATIC PARTY JOB OPENINGS

The Iowa Democratic Party is seeking qualified applicants to fill full-time and part-time positions for the 2004 Coordinated Campaign.  The goal of the 2004 Coordinated Campaign is to elect Democrats to office, ranging from the State Legislature to the White House.

Working on the 2004 Coordinated Campaign is an excellent opportunity to experience Iowa politics at the grassroots level.  Current vacancies include Team Leaders, Field Organizers, Canvassers and additional support staff.  These individuals are responsible for organizing their assigned regions and gaining support for Democratic candidates.  Responsibilities include organizing special events, attending Democratic functions, door knocking, phone calling, promoting the absentee ballot program and much more.

Key Qualifications:

Higher Level positions require previous campaign experience in field organizing and management.  College degree preferred for some positions. Ability to motivate others and take initiative is critical.  Organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential for success in these positions.  Knowledge of the Democratic Party is beneficial. 
Start Date: June 7th

Salary and Benefits: Field Organizer/Team Leader Positions $2,000 monthly plus benefits.  Canvasser Positions $10 per hour.
